Arizona Painted Desert

I specialize in art created from rocks that I have collected myself primarily in the southwestern states. Most of my rocks come from Arizona, with others coming from New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, Oregon, and Colorado. There are a small percentage that I purchase from other locations.

I polish my rocks using both vibrating and rotary tumblers. This is a four to six step process with each step requiring at least a week to complete.

Rock used for my mosaics are first cut from the raw material using a 16" diamond slab saw. Then the individual pieces for the finished work are cut using a diamond band saw and are polished using vibratory tumblers.

I use either sandstone or plain stained glass as my canvas. The sandstone that I prefer is shown as the main background on this Web site, however I use a variety of different types.

Since each rock used in creating my art is unique, each piece of art is a unique creation that cannot be duplicated.
